STARX MEDIA is issuing this statement to address a serious matter involving Mr. Alpay Hasirci, a former creator partner managed under the Company's Snapchat programme.
In recent days, Mr. Hasirci has issued threats against STARX MEDIA and its team members. These threats were unprovoked and entirely without justification. We consider this conduct to be wholly unacceptable and take it extremely seriously. The threats have been documented and reported to the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, STARX MEDIA has become aware of conduct by Mr. Hasirci that the Company believes constitutes serious breaches of his contractual obligations, including taking unilateral actions regarding funds in which the Company has a legitimate interest. We will not be disclosing the specific details of the commercial arrangements at this time, but we are satisfied that the evidence available to us supports these claims.
It is notable that the threats issued by Mr. Hasirci appear to have been made to distract from or deflect attention from his own conduct. STARX MEDIA wishes to make clear that we reject any allegations made by Mr. Hasirci against the Company or its team, and we are confident that the facts, when examined, will fully vindicate our position.
In response, STARX MEDIA is taking the following steps:
- Civil proceedings are being initiated to recover all sums owed to the Company and to enforce our contractual rights.
- Criminal reports are being filed with the relevant authorities in Germany and in any other jurisdictions as may be required, in connection with the handling of funds owed to the Company.
- The threats directed at STARX MEDIA and its personnel have been reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
- The matter has been referred to our external legal counsel, who are instructed to take all necessary action to protect the Company's interests.
STARX MEDIA wishes to reassure its partners, clients, and the wider creator community that this is an isolated matter. The Company remains fully operational and committed to supporting its creator partners with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
We will not be making further public comment on this matter while legal proceedings are ongoing, except as may be necessary or appropriate.
